Queer Youth Nation

REACH LA is committed to raising awareness of LGBT youth issues by annually producing "Queer Youth Nation", a national survey exhibition of LGBT youth videos. In this program videos shorts by youth in the REACH LA video production workshops are featured along with works by other LGBT youth from across the United States and Canada. By partnering with OUTFEST, the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival REACH LA has been able to bring this program to a wide audience at the festival annually since 2002 and generate new youth audiences for alternative film that speaks to their issues. Each year these audiences have grown exponentially. The "Queer Youth Nation" program advocates exposure, dialogue, and celebration of LGBT youth of color issues.
