VOLUNTEER
REACH LA Volunteers
REACH LA Volunteers are generous youth (ages 13-24) who truly care about REACH LA's mission. They contribute many hours of labor to help make our events and activities fun and exciting. Many dedicated REACH LA volunteers have participated in REACH LA programs and later train with us to become peer educators and advocates, filmmakers, designers, and event planners. Dedicated volunteers often represent REACH LA at conferences, in community advisory groups, and at film/media screenings & panels. And a few very lucky volunteers have had the opportunity to represent REACH LA at LLEGO in Miami, Rock the Vote in Washington DC, Ryan White HIV Conference in Portland, Oregon, Reproductive Freedom Day and Queer Youth Advocacy Day in Sacramento, the California Pregnancy Prevention Conference in Oakland, and in Malaysia on behalf of the Malaysian AIDS Council and US State Department.
Requirement: All REACH LA Volunteers must be between the ages of 13-24 years old. Volunteers and program participants can obtain community service hours by participating in REACH LA workshops, program events, planning groups and training as peer health advocates. Contact Christ at Chris_reachla@earthlink.net for more information on how to volunteer at REACH LA.
